40's & 50's Speed Dating Evening in Coventry

Come join us for our fabulous Speed dating event on Tuesday 31st March 2026

We're exclusively hiring out the top floor of The Golden Cross Coventry to host our speed dating evening so you can relax and really enjoy yourself in a sophisticated and elegant venue.

Here at Love At First Date, we will ensure you feel like you are amongst friends and other singles who are looking to date during our speed dating evening.

Please arrive from 7.30 pm to register ready for an 8 pm start.

If you would like to come earlier, you could always give the venue's delicious locally sourced menu a try, and have a drink in the main bar downstairs first. We have negotiated an exclusive deal on cocktails for you too.

The Venue:

The Golden Cross is the oldest pub in Coventry in fact one of the oldest in the Midlands, and only one of three buildings like this of its kind within Coventry, The venue is divded across two floors and here at first at first date we will be hiring the first floor allowing our clients to relax and feel at ease while enjoying a drink or two and making some great connections on the evening, The Golden cross also accomdates for food so thinking of joining us come for a bite to eat first.

Parking being in the centre of town there is a number of local car parks one of the nearest being Salt lane car park

What To Expect From The Evening?

Once you arrive at the venue come upstairs from 7.30 pm, as we have exclusive use of the upstairs floor. Our Love At First Date host will register you to be ready for an 8 pm start.

Don't worry our host will take care of everything for you including giving you a match card with a number on it. Once we're ready to start, everything will be explained and everyone will take their seats at the matching tables. You will enjoy a 5-minute speed date with up to 14 other singles during the evening marking down which dates you would like to see again as you go on your match card. Each speed date will end when the host rings the bell, and the men will rotate round the tables, whilst the women stay seated until you have had a date with everyone.

You can expect to have a fabulous evening with other singles like you, who are fed up with online dating, and want to date in a friendly, relaxed way.

What To Expect After The Evening?

We will send you an email the day after our speed dating event to let you know who you matched with and then the rest is up to you.

We will let you know if your matches' intention is for friendship or love/dating so you can choose to get in touch again with them.
