40-Hour California Guard Card Certification – 100% No Cost
Pasadena | February 2026
This no-cost 40-hour Guard Card Training Program provides participants with the full State of California Bureau of Security and Investigative Services (BSIS) curriculum required to earn a Guard Card and begin a career in the private security industry. Training includes both classroom instruction and hands-on learning, delivered by licensed security instructors with real-world field experience.
Participants will complete:
• 8-Hour “Power to Arrest & Weapons of Mass Destruction” foundational course
• 16 Hours of Mandatory Training (Public Relations, Observation & Documentation, Communications, Legal Responsibilities)
• 16 Hours of Elective Professional Skills Training to strengthen job readiness and field performance
The program also includes:
• Guidance through BSIS application and fingerprinting (Live Scan) process
• Certification documentation upon completion
• Employment preparation support, including resume help and direct employer connections
• Access to local hiring partners actively seeking trained security officers
