Join local pottery artist Cassie Kliewer and explore the captivating art of wheel throwing in this structured 4-week pottery journey. Designed to build your confidence step-by-step, this workshop will guide you through foundational techniques while allowing space for creativity, exploration, and personal expression. By the end of the program, you’ll leave with new skills, newfound confidence, and a minimum of four finished ceramic pieces you created yourself.

What You'll Learn Each Week
✨Week 1 — Centering + First Forms
Learn the foundations of pottery as you practice centering clay on the wheel and throwing your first bowl forms.
✨Week 2 — Cylinders + Trimming
Master the cylinder shape (the base of most pottery forms) and get introduced to trimming techniques while refining your Week 1 bowls.
✨Week 3 — Plates + Techniques
Explore throwing plates, build confidence in trimming, and learn handle-making and attachment techniques.
✨Week 4 — Guided Project + Finishing
Recreate your favourite form or bring a new idea to life with guided support. You’ll trim, sand, and glaze your work — leaving with skills, confidence, and at least four completed ceramic pieces.
