This is a 4-week cake decorating class. The classes will be held on Thursday, March 6th, 13th, 20th, and 27th. The classes will be held from 6-8pm. We will teach you from start to finish on how to professionally decorate and tier a cake! You will be required to bake your cakes at home to bring to the final class for decoration and assembly. You may purchase baked cakes from us at an additional cost.In the first class, you will learn how to make classic American buttercream and how to properly fill and dirty ice a cake. You will be given time to practice with different piping tips and we will discuss what you would like your final cake design to be.
During the second class, we will cover the Lambeth method of building on buttercream. You will learn and have time to practice how to pipe different flowers. We will also teach you different techniques on how to color your piping bags for more elaborate buttercream effects.
In the third class, we will teach you different buttercream techniques such as buttercream transfer, piping with Russian tips, how to pipe roses, and more! We will discuss your final cake design and go over any questions you have about techniques and trials on how to achieve your final design. We will give you time to perfect your new learned skills to get ready to put together your final masterpiece!
For the final class session, you will bring your prebaked cakes to class. We will guide you step by step on filling, icing, stacking, and finalizing the details to make your vision come to life! You will go home with your beautiful cake and the knowledge and skills to continue on your cake decorating journey!
