About this Event
Join us this summer in our 3-day teen fly fishing camp to learn all about fly-fishing with a balance of classroom instruction and hands-on learning activities with all fishing materials provided!
On the first day, 07/14, we will meet at our Brevard UF/IFAS Cocoa office and will be covering topics such as knot-tying, fish identification, proper casting techniques, and Florida fishing rules and regulations.
The following days, 07/15-07/16, we will meet at a predetermined location and will provide all materials needed to have our campers apply their new skills and participate in fly-fishing themselves!
The only thing they will need to bring each day is a packed lunch and plenty of water. We will provide supplemental water but resources will be limited on the second and third day. Snacks will also be provided.
When registering for the event, please enter parent/guardian information. At a later date, we will send an email with more specific camp details and instructions on registering your child to our 4H Online database.
NOTE: Classes and events may be canceled at any time due to low registration or other circumstances. Similar classes or events are often offered on future dates.
The University of Florida is committed to providing universal access to all of our events. For disability accommodations such as sign language interpreters and listening devices, please contact the UF/IFAS Brevard County Extension Office at [email protected] or (321) 633-1702 at least 2 weeks in advance. Advance notice is necessary to arrange for some accessibility needs.
