đźšś Farm to Table Camp
Target Ages: 9–12
Dates: August 10 – 14, 2026
Times: 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM
Location: Pitt County Agricultural Center (with local farm excursions)
Ever wonder how a seed becomes the snack in your lunchbox? This August, we’re going behind the scenes of the food system! Our Farm to Table Camp is a high-energy, hands-on week where campers become part-farmer and part-chef.
🌟 What’s on the Menu?
Farm-to-Fork Field Trips: We’re hitting the road to visit local Pitt County producers. Campers will meet the farmers, see agriculture in action, and learn about the hard work that goes into feeding our community.
The "Dirt" on Science: From soil health to pollination, kids will dive into the science of growing food through interactive experiments.
Junior Chef Training: Each afternoon, we’ll head into the kitchen to turn our local harvest into delicious meals. Campers will master:
Proper knife safety and "mise en place."
How to read and scale recipes.
Healthy cooking techniques that they can bring home to your kitchen!
The Friday Finale: Campers will showcase their skills by participating in a "Food Challenge" where they will showcase their cooking skills!
🎒 What to Bring:
- Closed-toe shoes (required for farm visits and kitchen safety).
- A refillable water bottle.
- A "can-do" attitude and an appetite for trying new things!
🏕️ Getting Your Camper Camp-Ready

Why This Matters for Parents
We know "one more form" can be a hassle, but this system is specifically designed to keep your child safe while they are in our care:
- Insurance Coverage: Once your child’s profile is marked "Active," they are automatically covered by 4-H accidental insurance for the duration of the camp.
- Instant Medical Access: In the event of an allergy or emergency, our staff has immediate, secure access to the digital health forms and emergency contacts you provide.
- Privacy First: The system is PCI and HIPAA compliant, meaning your family’s sensitive medical and personal data is kept strictly confidential and secure.
- Stay in the Loop: You’ll receive important camp updates, arrival/departure details, and information on future youth scholarships and events.
How to Register
- Create a Family Profile: If you are new to 4-H, start by creating one primary account for your household.
- Add Your Camper: Create an individual profile for each child attending camp.
- Complete the Health Form: Ensure the medical section is up-to-date so our camp counselors are fully prepared to support your child.
