About this Event

A four-day, hands-on workshop in Danish Modern craftsmanship

Discover the beauty, comfort, and timeless appeal of Danish Cord weaving in this immersive, hands-on workshop led by master craftsman David Fleming.

While solid wood furniture is admired for its durability and warmth, pairing it with woven Danish Cord elevates it to another level entirely. For nearly a century, Danish Cord seating has been a defining element of Danish Modern and Mid-Century Modern design, prized for its strength, flexibility, and striking woven patterns.

In this four-day class, held over two consecutive weekends, you’ll learn the traditional, nail-free technique used to weave a double side rail Danish Cord seat—creating a bench that is both functional and beautiful.

This workshop is ideal for woodworkers, designers, and makers who want to expand their skill set and create a piece that blends structure, texture, and craftsmanship.
