During our visit, you will enjoy a guided tour of this award-winning, family-run organic cheese farm, where generations of tradition come together to create exceptional farmstead cheeses, followed by a delicious tasting featuring some of their most celebrated varieties, including the renowned Alfred Le Fermier and their signature raclette. Winery Tour, Wine Tasting + Sabering Experience:
We will be visiting le Cep d'Argent Winery famous for their sparkling wine. You will get a guided tour of the vineyard and learn about their method of making sparkling wine using traditional methods. Followed by a wine tasting of 5 wines and a demonstration of "sabering" to add a touch of flair and excitement to our visit.
What is sabering you ask? Sabering is a dramatic and elegant way of opening a bottle of sparkling wine by using a **saber** (a type of sword) where you cleanly break the top off along with the cork. Sabrage originated with Napoleonâs cavalry in the early 19th century. After a victory, soldiers would celebrate by opening Champagne with their sabers.
Bleu Lavande:
A visit to Bleu Lavande is sure to be one of the most memorable highlights of our Eastern Townships journey. You will have time to stroll at their own pace through the breathtaking rows of fragrant lavender fields, where the vibrant purple blooms create a truly picture-perfect setting and wonderful photo opportunities at every turn.
After enjoying the serenity of the gardens, weâll relax on the patio and savour a selection of delicious lavender-infused treats, from refreshing lavender lemonade to local honey and decadent chocolate, all beautifully showcasing the unique flavours of this celebrated destination.
Sherbrooke Murals:
Sherbrooke is known for its large collection of wall-art and murals scattered throughout the downtown core.
Our tour includes a guided walking tour of downtown Sherbrooke with a local tour guide and you will have plenty of opportunities to take photos and selfies of these remarkable works of art.
