3rd Rolling for Vida - Charity Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Seminar

The heart of a warrior is not just measured by strength but by resilience, compassion, and the ability to inspire those around them. Vida Rondon Monje, though she never took her first breath, left an everlasting mark on our hearts. Her name, meaning “Life” in Brazilian Portuguese, symbolizes the spirit of perseverance and love that continues to guide us.

Even though Vida never had the opportunity to take her first breath, may have been taken from us too soon, despite of her time with us was short, her impact was profound. Like a delicate butterfly, she touched the lives of all who were excited expecting her arrival, but her spirit continues to guide us as we navigate life's challenges.

In her memory, we unite once again, bringing together the Jiu Jitsu community to celebrate her legacy and raise funds for the Alberta Children’s Hospital Foundation.

This seminar is more than just a Jiu Jitsu event; it is a gathering of family, friends, and martial artists with a shared purpose, to honor Vida, support an incredible cause, and transform grief into meaningful action.

Last year (2025), thanks to your incredible support, we raised $6,012.75, surpassing our $4,000 goal! This year, with donations and ticket purchases and a few other initiatives, we’re setting our new target to $7,500, with all proceeds going directly to the Alberta Children’s Hospital Foundation.
