2024 will mark the 3rd annual Newcastle Ewan Brown Anarchist Bookfair, an event celebrating the life of Ewan and the radical past, present and future of the North-East.On Saturday 1st June the Bookfair will open the doors to another fine year of stalls, workshops and live events, art and photo exhibition featuring work from Ewan and other local artists. With DJ's in the cafe all day and an evening gig with music from Almighty Uprisers, Fiona Liquid, 21 Melville Street, Benny Rabble. The cinema will be showing films by Ewan throughout the day with an evening film to run alongside the evening music.
The Bookfair will once again be hosted in the fabulous Star and Shadow Cinema in the east of the city of Newcastle-upon-Tyne.
The Bookfair is ran by a group of volunteers using funding from donations and stalls. The collective tried to make this event as accessible as possible can so anyone could enjoy.
