On behalf of the VFW Auxiliary Post 8797, we are pleased to invite your organization to participate in the 3rd Annual Support A Vet, Save A Pet 5K & 1 Mile Fun Run, taking place on Saturday, November 7, 2026, in Williamsburg, Iowa. This event brings our community together to support two important causes: assisting local veterans and supporting Safe Haven of Iowa County.Last year’s event welcomed 248 participants and raised over $17,000, making it the largest race of its kind in our community. With continued support, we hope to build on that success and expand the positive impact this event has for both veterans and animals in need.
The event will be held at 208 W. State Street in Williamsburg, Iowa. Registration will begin at 8:00 AM, and the race will start at 9:00 AM. The registration fee is $25 per participant, and individuals who register by October 15, 2026 will receive a free event T-shirt.
We encourage everyone to participate by forming a team, promoting the event among friends, or simply joining us for this meaningful community event. Every participant helps raise funds and awareness for these important causes.
