Dear Industry Partner,
We are excited to announce the inaugural 2026 South Texas Beef and Forage Field Day, organized by Texas A&M AgriLife County Extension Agents from Atascosa, Bee, Goliad, Jim Wells, Karnes, Live Oak, McMullen, Nueces, Refugio, and San Patricio Counties. Joining us are Dr. Jamie Foster from the Texas AgriLife Research Station in Beeville and AgriLife Beef Specialist Dr. Karl Harborth from Corpus Christi.
The Field Day will take place on April 29, 2025, from 7:30 AM to 3 PM in Beeville. We invite our Industry Partners to help us make this a special and educational event, with the goal of establishing it as a recurring opportunity for our Coastal Bend and South Texas beef and forage producers.
Morning Sessions: The morning sessions will be held at the Beeville Research Station. Our AgriLife Specialists from Corpus Christi will cover topics including:
- W**d and Brush Management
- Cattle Handling
- Beef and Hay economic outlook
- Cattle management practices with new technology
We will conclude the morning with a Producer panel discussing the importance of adaptability in South Texas livestock production.
Afternoon Sessions: After lunch, we will move to the Twisted Ranch and Event Center across the highway for afternoon presentations from our esteemed presenters.
