Info: Safety, Assertiveness, Violence Prevention, Empowerment (S.A.V.E.) is designed for companies, businesses, or any non-student group that wants to empower their community and employees with personal safety skills, discussions on how to address unwanted social interactions with colleagues and co-workers, and how to use verbal strategies to avoid confrontations. We will address the importance of intuition and awareness when managing our safety, and how to be an active bystander for others. The program includes discussion and practice with physical self-defense techniques for a variety of encounters, along with travel safety strategies for professionals who are often on the road.

Info: This engaging program is designed to empower individuals with actionable options for bystander intervention and discussions on how to use various strategies when faced with situations such as harassment, bullying, inappropriate jokes, ostracism and more. We will address the importance of intuition and awareness when managing our safety before, during, and after an intervention and redefine what it means to be an active bystander. The goal of the session is to offer participants tools that can help them feel comfortable in their ability to respond to a range of scenarios they may encounter.
