Join the LBUSD Sankofa Parent Village in partnership with the Renaissance High School for the Arts Sankofa Parent Group for an evening of food, art, music, and community at the RHSA Student Taste of Soul Long Beach Celebration! This annual Black History Month celebration uplifts the brilliance of Black arts students at Renaissance High. This year we celebrate "A Cultural Passport through Time: from Mardi Gras, to the Harlem Renaissance, to the West Coast."
In its third year, the RHSA Student Taste of Soul Long Beach event brings together students, families, educators, and community members for a vibrant night centered on culture, creativity, and joy. This is more than a celebration. It’s a space where Black students are centered, affirmed, and celebrated as leaders, artists, and visionaries.

The RHSA Student Taste of Soul Long Beach is hosted by the RHSA Sankofa Parent Group in support of RHSA’s Black Student Union (BSU). Proceeds and donations directly support student programming, cultural events, and resources that help Black students thrive at Renaissance High.
