4Day 3M Fall Protection Worker at Heights Certified Instructor Training Hosted by Brian Clarke and G.E.W LLC
GEW, IBEW-NECA, 3M Fall Protection, and Northwest Scaffold are all coming together to support The Central Washington University Safety Program To help them raise the funds they need to educate the next generation of safety professional, GEW is organizing a 4.5-day Worker at Heights Fall Protection Certified Instructor class in Portland Oregon. G.E.W llc will donate ALL net profits to the Central Washington University Safety Program Student Endowment fund. The Training will be provided by 3M Fall Protection, the location is being provided by NECA-IBEW, structure is provided by Northwest Scaffold.
This is an excellent opportunity to get 3M Fall Protection Certified Instructor Training locally and at a much-reduced price. The 3M list price for this is normally $2,995.00 plus travel to a training center. Thanks to everyone involved this is being provided locally for only $2,500.00 per person. This reflects a very significant savings when you consider the savings of travel, lodging, and other travel related expense. We also get to feel good knowing we are supporting a great cause.

For many employers, having an on-site instructor is a beneficial asset for providing timely and consistent safety training which is current to the applicable regulations and standards.
This 3M Certified Instructor programs provide your company, your safety program, and your designated safety trainer with the necessary educational tools to deliver consistent, repeatable training for your workers. These programs give you peace of mind knowing workers carrying the 3M Card have all been trained to the same standards with a program that is complete and defendable.
Having a 3M Fall Protection Certified Instructor is the perfect enhancement to your current safety training program, new hire orientation, or project specific subcontractor training requirements. The 3M Safety Training Certified Instructor programs are a turnkey solution designed to provide and prepare instructors with a well-structured curriculum which is focused on applied learning to promote engagement and retention. All the necessary elements of a properly constructed curriculum are part of these Certified Instructor programs. Companies participating in this Certified Instructor program will have access to the required student materials for course delivery and a complete set of instructor materials. These materials include an extensive instructor kit that includes digital presentations, instructor guides, lesson plans, outlines, assessment tools, administrative guides, certificates, and access to 3M’s customized record keeping portal.
Completing a 3M Certified Instructor program can prepare you with the ability to deliver one or more of 3M’s fall protection programs, providing the tools to educate workers to the appropriate level of training based on your company’s needs.
This four and a half-day course is designed to specifically prepare participants to deliver 3M’s 4 and 8-hour Authorized Person programs.
The first two days of this program will develop participants’ understanding of content as they will complete our Competent Person fall protection program.
The final two and a half-day of this program will explain, guide, and coach instructor candidates through the process of content delivery. The course will culminate with participants being assessed on their ability to deliver the prescribed programs.
Upon completion of this Certified Instructor program, successful course participants will receive a certificate for 3M Fall Protection Competent Person and a Certified Trainer certificate indicating their ability to deliver either of the specific 3M Safety Training fall protection programs: 4-Hour Authorized Person Essentials, 8-Hour Authorized Person Comprehensive.
This course includes in-class lectures including slides and video and hands-on scenarios applying theory discussed to practical workplace situations. This Competent Person training is a pass/fail program incorporating both written and practical examinations and is based on the requirements of the OSHA Regulations, ANSI Z359.2 as well as local legislation that will be discussed and reinforced. Attendees will learn practical solutions to difficult fall protection problems using appropriate tools and equipment.
Students will need to bring their fall protection harness.
