Get ready to design, create, and 3D print your own custom creations!
3D Keychain Makers Lab with Tinkercad is a fun hands-on STEM workshop for students ages 6–12 and part of the 3D Design & Engineering Week at the Washington Heights STEM Center. Students will learn the basics of 3D modeling and digital design using Tinkercad while creating personalized keychains, name tags, and creative mini projects.
Throughout the workshop, participants will develop skills in creativity, problem-solving, and design thinking while learning how engineers and designers use 3D technology to build real-world products. Students will explore shapes, measurements, and digital fabrication tools as they design projects step-by-step and prepare them for 3D printing at the STEM Center.
This engaging makers lab encourages imagination, innovation, and confidence while introducing students to the exciting world of 3D design, engineering, industrial design, and digital fabrication through fun hands-on learning.
