September 15-December 8, 2024Each fall, Sculpture in the Garden unites the work of local artists with the curated landscapes of the North Carolina Botanical Garden. This year’s show features 86 installations by 66 artists. From steel to ceramic, tiny to massive, and abstract to figurative, there’s something for everyone. All ages are welcome.
HOURS
The exhibit is open during normal Garden hours (9 a.m.-5 p.m. Tuesdays-Saturdays; 1-5 p.m. Sundays) beginning September 15. We're closed on Mondays and University holidays and for some special events (like our Fall Plant Sale on September 27-28).
ENTRY
Free! Donations to support the show are welcome. No reservation necessary. (You can make a donation in person or at http://give.unc.edu/donate?f=525232&p=ncbg.)
EXPLORE THE EXHIBIT
Get a free map and guide to the show when you arrive, and use it to follow along with the numbered signs to learn more about each sculpture. We've also got a scavenger hunt for kids of all ages to enjoy.
Please help us protect our plants and the artwork by enjoying sculptures from the path and keeping hands (and feet) clear of sculptures.
PEOPLE'S CHOICE AWARD
Vote for your favorite sculpture to win a People's Choice Award! Once you've seen all the sculptures, come back to the breezeway to cast your vote. Voting is open through Thursday, November 21; we'll announce the winners here on social media!
SALES
Most sculptures are for sale, and a portion of proceeds benefits the Garden! Sales take place in our Garden Shop.
