34th Annual KCK Black History Celebration & Scholarship Celebration

Join us for a memorable event celebrating the Visions of Liberation: Honoring the Past, Reimagining the Future. This year's event will be held on Saturday, Feb 28, 2026, at Memorial Hall (600 N. 7th Street) in downtown KCK from 11 AM to 2 PM. This year's in-person social hour and program will take place during the brunch timeframe to allow attendees the opportunity to enjoy the rest of their day.

During this event, we will also be awarding scholarships to local deserving students to help lighten the financial load of furthering their education.

As in years past, the UG Black History Committee will also be presenting a community leader and business award to voted-on community members who have demonstrated cultural pride and community leadership for Wyandotte County and KCK.

Your attendance will not only support and encourage these bright young students but also help celebrate culture in our community.
