Good Saturday! Hope you are staying warm! The North Alabama NSBE Professionals presents the 33rd Scholarship Awards Banquet on April 9, 2026. This annual Banquet Awards Scholarships to area students to stimulate interest in STEM education and careers. Awards include Space Camp, Briggs Leadership Scholarship, Johnnie Clark F.O.C.U.S. Scholarship, Joshua Gregory Athletic Scholarship and more.The keynote speaker is Dr. Ruth Jones.
Dr. Jones, a motivational speaker, brings a diverse background that includes leadership, woman in a male dominated field, and community leadership. Dr. Jones, a trailblazer, is the second African American woman in Alabama to earn a Ph. D. in Physics and the first woman to receive a BS in Physics from the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff. Dr. Ruth is lauded as one of NASA’s Modern Figures. She has 30 years of experience with NASA and has held several leadership roles.
