Every year dozens of Alaskan artists create unique art plates for Bunnell’s Plate Project. Bisqued, handmade ceramic plates made by local potters become canvases for brilliant food-safe underglazes. This year, over 82 artists made the plate project possible. Thank you artists!
The Plate Project is made possible thanks to Homer's vibrant ceramic community. Local potters transform hundreds of pounds of clay into bisqued plates, Thank You! An artist-led community effort since 1995, the Plate Project is Bunnell Street Arts Center's keystone fundraiser for the mission and programs that benefit artists and communities across Alaska.This year’s Plate Project will be fired by Bunnell Board member and local potter Jeff Szarzi.
