In the first decade of this millenium, women flocked to York each autumn for the Libertas! and YLAF festivals: to hear their favourite authors and singers, to buy piles of lesbian books and to dance till the clocks went back. '3000 Lesbians' captures the story of that sapphic idyll through interviews, memories and photographs.
Author Jane Traies, publisher Helen Sandler and the founder of Libertas! bookshop, Jenny Roberts, are delighted to welcome you to the launch of this exciting new book, in the city where the story began.
