Brooklyn Hip-Hop dance legend Loose Joint is coming to Perth and only Perth for an exclusive Australian workshop!
He will be hosting a special Hip-Hop workshop on 30 November in the Arts and Culture Trust's King Street Art Centre.
Jamel Brown known as "Loose Joint" is a pioneering Freestyle Hip Hop dancer with four decades of experience rooted in New York's dance culture. He is a founding member of Elite Force Crew with Link and Buddah Stretch and key player in the iconic Mop Top.
This will mark Loose Joint's first-ever workshop in Perth WA. For all our local Hip-Hop dance amateurs passionate dancers or teachers in Perth this is a unique opportunity to learn from the source from one of the original pioneers of Hip-Hop freestyle dance.
Loose Joint gained recognition in the early 1980s as part of The Float Committee and later the Fantastic Duo featured in the classic film "Beat Street." Throughout his illustrious career Loose Joint has performed in concerts appeared in music videos for icons like Michael Jackson Jay-Z or Mariah Carey and toured internationally as a performance dancer.
In addition to his performance work he has served as a respected judge at prestigious dance competitions such as Juste Debout and Summer Dance Forever. His passion for hip-hop dance shines through in his ongoing commitment to teaching mentorship and performance around the world.
