About the Practice
This retreat is based on time-tested meditation practices that cultivate awareness through mindful breathing and observation of physical sensations. Silence creates space to turn inward, quiet the mind, restore emotional balance, and deepen your personal inner journey.
Retreat Details
- Location: A peaceful lakeside setting near Gull Lake (approximately 1.5 hours from Calgary & Edmonton)
- Dates: April 23–26
Daily Program
Thursday
Arrival & Check-in: Participants arrive, settle into their rooms, and become familiar with the retreat space.
Opening Session: Introduction to Vipassana meditation, retreat guidelines, and daily structure.
Evening Practice: OM chanting to establish a calm and focused group atmosphere.
Friday & Saturday
Morning: Early rise followed by Tibetan prostrations and meditation to cultivate presence and clarity. Gentle Hatha yoga to energize the body and increase flexibility.
Midday: Nutritious vegetarian breakfast and a silent nature walk to deepen mindfulness and connection with the environment.
Afternoon: Yoga and pranayama practice to harmonize breath and body. Personal time for quiet reflection, journaling, or spiritual reading.
Evening: Light dinner followed by seated or walking meditation. Quiet evening walk and closing with Om chanting and Shavasana for complete relaxation.
Sunday
Morning: Tibetan prostrations, Anapanasati meditation, and soft Hatha yoga to prepare for departure.
Midday: Final vegetarian breakfast together.
Closing Circle: Ending silence and optional sharing of experiences and insights from the retreat.
Departure: Organized return transfer to Calgary and Edmonton.
Practical Information
Meals: Two wholesome vegetarian meals daily, with fruit snacks provided.
Transportation: Optional organized transfer available from Calgary and Edmonton.
Accommodation & Pricing

Room Type: Early Bird Price (until March)
- Single Room: $700 + fees
- Single Room–Basement: $650 + fees
- Quad Room (shared, 4 beds): $500 / bed + fees
Early Bird Discounts
- Book before March → Early Bird price applies.
- March bookings → +10% to base price.
- April bookings → +20% to base price.
