Brianna Choi is the Corporate Relations Coordinator with BEST Business Eneding Slavery & Trafficking .
BEST's mission is to provide employers tools to counter human trafficking. Victims have been identified in over 25 industries in the U.S., including retail, hospitality, and recreational facilities. It’s crucial for businesses to equip their staff to recognize and respond to signs of human trafficking to prevent exploitation and increase safety. BEST offers paid training formats for our general, pan-industry course, called Basics. There are free training options for the hospitality, aviation, maritime, and transit sectors.
As you know, the upcoming 2026 World Cup matches are expected to bring thousands of visitors and increases in travel and tourism can create circumstances that make people vulnerable to exploitation. With the anticipated influx of tourists, it is important for
businesses to start preparing now for an increased risk of human trafficking.
