About this Event
Something extraordinary is coming to Northern BC!
Join us for the 2SLGBTQIA+ Voices & Culture Summit, a groundbreaking, community-centered cultural gathering filled with storytelling, creativity, and celebration, bringing together 2SLGBTQIA+ community members, artists, advocates, and service providers from across the region.
Morning 10:00am to 4:00pm – Community Arts & Learning
Dive into a full day of interactive panels, hands-on workshops, and collaborative community art projects featuring powerful lived-experience stories from 2SLGBTQIA+ people across Northern BC. Create, learn, and connect through shared storytelling, and spaces designed for participation, reflection, and expression.
Explore exciting workshops like Belly Dancing, and Find Your Inner Queen; confidence-building, self-discovery sessions through art and movement, a day-long Zine Building workshop, and more.
Three dynamic panels will take place throughout the day, focusing on Pride Organizing, the Two-Spirit experience, and Entertainment and performance culture.
This day is open to anyone curious about queer life in Northern BC. Whether you are looking to deepen your understanding of 2SLGBTQIA+ lived experiences and culture, explore new perspectives, or contribute your own voice in real time, the Summit invites you to be part of the conversation.
Evening Gala 7:00pm to 1:00am – Celebration & Culture
Celebrate Northern BC’s vibrant queer community with an evening of performances, including drag, live music, and more.
A featured highlight of the evening is Project Slay, a live judged fashion showcase inspired by Project Runway. This interactive event blends design, performance, and storytelling, with participants presenting original looks before a live judging panel.
Explore the Voices & Culture Gallery art gallery, night market, and enjoy a never-before-seen film teaser from the upcoming Queer History Project. The evening concludes with the dazzling Voices & Culture Gala — a night of pride, art, and connection you won’t forget.
