Our 2nd Wednesday Monthly Poetry Series is back, we are honored to welcome two remarkable poets whose voices have shaped our local literary landscape. This is a free community event, open to all lovers of poetry, story, and spoken word.
Hosted by: Cheryl Panosian – Danbury Poet Laureate
Cheryl brings extraordinary warmth, depth, and insight to every gathering she leads. As Danbury’s Poet Laureate, her work centers on connection, healing, and elevating the creative heartbeat of our city. She champions accessibility in the arts and has been instrumental in nurturing emerging local writers. Her presence always sets the tone for an inviting, creative, and inspiring night.
Featured Poet: Barb Fulton Jennes – Ridgefield Poet Laureate Emerita
Barb is known for her vivid, emotionally resonant poetry that weaves together personal narrative and universal experience. As Ridgefield’s former Poet Laureate, she helped shape the community’s poetry programming with compassion, excellence, and a deep love for the written word. Her work has appeared in numerous journals, and she continues to be a celebrated mentor, teacher, and advocate for poetry as a force of understanding and connection.
