About Lila Reid
Lila Reid is a full time dance instructor teaching across the Willamette Valley, and has been teaching dance throughout the United States since 2011. She is the Coordinator of the Social & Artistic Dance Program at Oregon State University, where she teaches all levels of social ballroom, country western partner, latin, and line dancing, as well as hip hop and jazz. She also teaches courses at University of Oregon, Willamalane Parks and Recreation, and Corvallis Community Center. Lila and her partner, Bear Scamman, host a country western dance event every Tuesday at the Springfield Elks Lodge, as well as weekend events in the area for country western, where Lila often instructs dance lessons for the community.
Lila is originally from the state of Maine. She received her BA in Dance from Mount Holyoke College, with a Teacher Licensure for Dance K-12. She received her MFA in Dance from University of Oregon, where she was also a Graduate Fellow in Dance.
