2ND OZARKS FILM SUMMIT & FILMMAKERS SHOWCASE SET FOR OCTOBER 3, 2024We are delighted to announce we have partnered with Alamo Drafthouse Springfield to bring you the 2nd Ozarks Film Summit & Filmmakers Showcase.
This showcase will feature local filmmakers and fellow directors and industry leaders from nearby states who are working to create film industries where they live.
The event happens Thursday, October 3, 2024 at the Alamo Drafthouse Cinema.
The Summit begins at 4:00 p.m. when industry leaders will speak about trends and movements in building regional film hubs. We will have an exciting lineup of film industry and Hollywood experts who will share their insights and guidance. This is a great opportunity for industry professionals, small businesses, media, and anyone interesting in learning how to participate in this new industry taking shape in the Ozarks through the efforts of the Ozarks Film Co-Op.
The Summit also includes a social hour at 5:00 p.m. and a brief Speaker’s Program at 6:00 p.m.
At 6:30 p.m., we begin a two and one-half hour showcase of locally and regionally films. We anticipate showing approximately 20 short films.

The deadline for submissions is September 12, 2024.
Films must be between 6-15 minutes long, including beginning and ending credits. Shorter films will be accepted.
We will publish the finalized schedule soon, and will notify filmmakers of acceptance into the showcase.
Please, filmmakers are required to attend the screening of their films, and we would love to have all filmmakers join us for the Summit (and mixer). The community is invited.
There is no fee, as of yet, to submit a film.
However, everyone must purchase a ticket.
