About this Event
Jai Shree Krishna, Jai Shree Shyam.
With the blessings of Khatu Shyam Ji, this is a humble request to your esteemed temple/organisation to join us in celebrating a special Khatu Shyam Falgun Mahotsav in Bradford. The Falgun Mahotsav (Lakkhi Mela) of Khatu Shyam Ji in Sikar, Rajasthan is a major 10‑day festival in the bright half of Falgun, commemorating the supreme sacrifice and devotion of veer Barbarika, who is worshipped as Khatu Shyam Ji in Kaliyug.
We are organising a local Falgun Mahotsava for Khatu Shyam Ji on Saturday ,28th February at Bradford Temple, to offer collective devotion from the UK community. The festival will follow the traditional spirit of the Khatu Shyam Falgun Lakkhi Mela, with special aartis, bhajans, and satsang dedicated to “Haare Ka Sahara – Baba Shyam”.
This is our second year of celebrating Khatu Shyam Falgun Mahotsav in the UK, and, by Shyam ji’s kripa, last year we were blessed to organise around 11 gatherings and events across the UK to spread Shyam naam and bhakti. Our final goal is to establish a dedicated temple, or at least a permanent space within an existing temple, for Khatu Shyam Ji in the UK, and for this seva we have established a Community Interest Company (CIC) and are steadily working towards this vision with the support of devotees.
THIS IS OPEN EVENT, everyone is welcome with friend and family.
