The pressure is officially on as the RCDRL kicks off the 2026 Countdown to the Championship Playoffs with Race Number Ten, the 2nd Annual Texas Outlaw Showdown, at The Strip at Traders Village. This is the first round of the playoffs, and from here on out, every pass matters.
This special weekend features a race within a race, highlighted by a unique Outlaw Shootout format, Friday night action, and a playoff atmosphere that separates contenders from pretenders.
Friday - August 21 | Special Shootout Day
Friday is a rare, special event reserved specifically for the Outlaw classes and TNT for ALL!
Racers will have access to a full day of Test-N-Tune, leading into a Friday Night Quick 16 Outlaw Shootout with a big cash payout.
For Pro Street Outlaw and Limited Prep Outlaw, this shootout includes a special buy-in with 100% payout. Outlaw racers will pay a slightly higher track fee, but every dollar goes back to the racers… no house cut. This Friday night format is exclusive to the Texas Outlaw Showdown and is not offered at regular season events.
Saturday - August 22 | Playoff Night Under the Lights
Saturday brings the main event as Race #10 eliminations officially launch the playoff season. The day includes Test-N-Tune during daylight hours, followed by qualifying and eliminations under the lights, continuing the successful night-race format used in recent events.
All other classes will compete under the standard RCDRL format, earning points toward their playoff championship runs.

With the playoffs officially underway, this weekend sets the tone for the championship chase. Friday night delivers high-stakes Outlaw action, while Saturday night puts the entire field under pressure as points reset and championships are decided.
