PLEASE SUPPORT me and my 8th grade class as we fundraise for our class trip to Israel!!!
I am Nathan Adelstein, an 8th grader at EKHLA, and my friends and l are hosting a Chess Tournament and Fundraiser on Sunday Feb 26 @11am-6pm at Agudas Achim in San Antonio. This event is going to be EPIC!!! We hope to raise LOTS of money to help subsidize our class trip to Israel. I created this event last year as my Bar Mitzvah project- me and my 8th grade friends decided to continue the efforts this year, as last year was such a huge success.
HISTORY OF THE EVENT: Last year we had over 70 chess players from all over Texas, and I was excited to place second in the Rated Tournament. Because of donors and amazing people like you, I was able to raise almost $4,500 total, AFTER expenses! Proudly, I was able to donate $2,000 to The American Cancer Society, and $2,500 to my synagogue Congregation Agudas Achim, who generously donated the venue, games, tables, and chairs, and provided the maintenance staff, office staff, and security for my event! My family has a rich legacy at Agudas Achim. I chose to donate to The American Cancer Society last year as I lost my grandfather to Leukemia and more recently, my grandmother fought Breast Cancer.
The Tournament, open to ALL ages, will begin at 12pm sharp, so doors open at 11am. There will be Rated and Unrated (Scholastic beginners) options - Click Here: Link to register to play Join Us!!!! Trophies and prizes! Silent Auction, Food, and Fun for ALL ages. There will be BINGO, a bouncy house for young ones, concessions, vendors, and fun for all! There is NO CHARGE to come by and hang out! Please come by! We hope that the event is a huge success, but we need you and your families & friends!
