SAVE THE DATE: Join us this June for our 2nd Annual High Tea for Change 🧁☕✨This year, we are bringing together community members, advocates, and thought leaders to explore the systems-level changes needed to ensure equitable access to care across British Columbia, with a focus on women’s healthcare in the Thompson-Nicola Region.
We are honoured to feature Kathleen Larose, who will share key insights from the Maternity PACC Mapping Project we conducted in partnership with UBC Faculty of Medicine and the Thompson Nicola Primary Care Division - highlighting gaps, opportunities, and real pathways toward more accessible, inclusive care.
You will also hear from two incredible guest speakers:
🔹 Kelli Paddon – offering a powerful perspective on equity in policy and how we can advocate for better change when it comes to gendered equality.
🔹 Dr. Marisa Azad – sharing her lived experience as a woman leader navigating and working in STEM, and speaking to internal system change that need to be addressed when looking at workplace equality in Healthcare.
Together, we will connect the dots between healthcare transformation and the workplace changes needed to truly advance equity, especially in traditionally male-dominated industries.
But this is not only a conversation, it is an experience.
Think: a beautiful afternoon by the lake, an elegant lunch, tea (or bubbles 🥂), and a room full of inspiring people. Expect meaningful dialogue, great company, a little indulgence, and a few surprises, including a raffle and feminist swag you will not want to miss.
Every dollar raised supports our work advancing women’s equity across BC’s Interior, because real change happens when we come together.
✨ Allies, friends, and partners are all welcome
This year’s theme: “Rewriting the System: Women, Workplaces & Wellness”
