About this Event
Art crosses chronological boundaries, bridging the perceived divisions between “now” and “then.” A record of the past, reinterpreted and revived in our present, goes on to become a part of the future. This year’s conference theme: It’s Only a Matter of Time: Art, and Temporality explores how artists, audiences, and scholars alike take on the role of time traveller.
Presented by the University of Victoria's Art History and Visual Studies department, graduate association and the graduate students' society, Visual Impetus is an Art History & Visual Studies Graduate Conference & Poster Fair for Graduate Students & Early Career Researchers.
This year's Visual Impetus Committee is made up of AHVS MA students: Jessica Huang, Alexander Wolffe, and dean fercho wilmoth.
