Activity Description

The 28th Annual Vanderbilt Neurology Stroke and Neuroscience Symposium is the premiere Continuing Medical Education event aimed at improving stroke care in Middle Tennessee. The event will feature a superb lineup of local and internationally recognized leaders in stroke care. Stroke care is evolving rapidly and it is essential that changes in guidelines and in the standard of practice are efficiently communicated. Our panel of speakers will provide updates on a broad range of topics related to acute stroke care, risk factor management and prevention strategies and rehabilitation, emphasizing new guidelines, clinical trial results and identifying areas of expected growth in the field in the coming years.

Learning Objectives
  • Optimize the management of carotid artery disease, especially asymptomatic moderate carotid artery disease.
  • Identify and apply key updates to the stroke management guidelines.
  • Understand key clinical trial results from the prior year.
  • Appropriately assess and use published results from large observation data sources as it relates to stroke management.
