Drumming Circle is welcome to start gathering whenever people want to start. Please set up circle east of wheelchair accessible strip to allow folks in wheelchairs and scooters to take part. The yoga teacher is happy to have drumming while she conducts her class.
7pm - 7:45pm for "Yoga on the Beach" Please bring a yoga mat, or blanket and a donation. No experience necessary – all are welcome to take part in this gentle flow yoga class. Donations accepted and appreciated to help pay for cost of beach rental.
DONATIONS APPRECIATED TO HELP ME PAY FOR THE BEACH RENTAL PERMIT TO THE CITY of ST. CATHARINES.
I organized the first celebration in 1998 and every year since! It’s a big job to organize and promote this family friendly celebration, so volunteers would be greatly appreciated and if you have any ideas or suggestions, please contact me, Carla Carlson. ?
It has become a wonderful, magical event but the parking can be difficult.

IMPORTANT – please note
• Paid visitor parking is in effect at Lakeside Park Beach May 1 to Sept. 30, from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. each day.
• The fee for each parking space is $3 per hour, with a three-hour time limit, but if you are past 9pm for our celebration, the city said that is OK
• Resident of St. Catharines may obtain Beach Parking Permits. This allows for parking with no time limits.
In 2009 I added another location for this celebration, to Charles Daley Park in Jordan, Town of Lincoln and in 2014 added Ryerson Park, Niagara-on-the-Lake. “One Solstice, One Lake, Three Beaches”
