“Step Into: The History, The Colors, the Forever Sisterhood/Brotherhood of The Divine Nine” historically Black Fraternities and Sororities established in the early 1900s. These organizations are more than just a social group—they are powerful networks that promote leadership, community service, and social responsibility. From politics to business, education to activism, The Divine Nine has produced some of the most influential leaders of our time. Each organization has its own unique story, but they all share one mission: to uplift, empower, and serve the African-American community. Here in Lexington, The Divine Nine has had a lasting impact on our schools, neighborhoods, and beyond.
