About the Event

Have you been watching The Traitors on TV and confidently spotting who is lying from your sofa? Ever wondered how well you would do if you were actually in the room, with everyone watching you back? Blood on the Clocktower lets you experience that tension and deduction in person, with real conversations, real deception, and real consequences.

Blood on the Clocktower is a social deduction game of M**der and mystery, lies and logic, deduction and deception for up to twenty players and one devious Storyteller. While the game supports up to twenty players, around fifteen is ideal for the best balance of discussion and pacing.

Played face to face and seated in a circle, each player receives a secret role and is placed on either the good team or the evil team. Good players share information and work together to identify and execute the Demon. Evil players lie, mislead, and protect the Demon while quietly eliminating the town.

By day, players discuss, accuse, and vote. By night, the Storyteller guides players through their hidden abilities. Each role is unique and meaningful, and no two games ever play out the same way. Even if your character dies, you stay involved as a ghost and can still influence the outcome until the end.

If you are attending in person, look for the referee for the game, known as the Storyteller. They will explain the rules, answer questions, and guide everyone through the game. Questions are welcome at any point.

Doors open at 10am. We aim to start promptly at 10:30am. If you are running late, you can still join as a Traveller so you will not miss out.

Games usually last between 60 and 90 minutes depending on numbers. We aim to run at least two full games during the session.

Script complexity will match player experience. We use all three base scripts, Trouble Brewing, Bad Moon Rising, and Sects and Violets, with occasional community scripts for variety.

What to Expect

Blood on the Clocktower is a discussion focused game built around deduction, persuasion, and bluffing. Players are encouraged to talk, question each other, and form opinions based on incomplete information.

Some games are tense and analytical, others are chaotic and funny. You do not need to be loud or theatrical, but you should expect to participate in group discussion.
