Volunteers will meet at 9:00AM at 400 McMunn Street, South Lyon, MI, at the Truck Parking Lot of the Michigan Seamless Tube and Pipe Company. Small groups will go out into the field to predesignated areas, and safely remove trash and debris from creeks, streams, and waterways within the city of South Lyon, Green Oak Township, and Lyon Township. If you are able, please wear your gloves, rubber boots, a long sleeve shirt, and long pants - not required. Safety vests are provided for your protection. There will be a dumpster at the meeting site, available for the trash and debris collected. Trucks and trailers are needed to haul trash to the dumpster. At noon, volunteers will meet at the nearby South Lyon VFW Hall at 125 E McHattie Street for a pizza lunch and refreshments. Your participation with this community service project is greatly appreciated. Larry E. Ledbetter heads this event. For more information, please contact Suzann at 248-437-4942.
