The Official 12th Annual 22 Too Many 5k Race is a run/walk whose proceeds support the grieving families of military members lost to suicide.
Approximately 22 service members a day take their own lives. Through athletic events, 22 Too Many seeks to serve as a living memorial, reducing the stigma by increasing public knowledge and awareness of PTS. They provide resources, support and comfort to the grieving families left behind. Their goal is to see 22 a day reduced to 0 through raising public awareness. Their pictures on our backs - Their names in our hearts! Stop by the table and pick up a soldier's picture to carry in your race. Meet co-founder Keri Jacobs and other 22 Too Many volunteers. Pictures will be posted on social media so the families can see their loved one being remembered.
Early Registration is $30. ($35 after 4/10 and $40 after 5/18). All participants receive a custom finisher medal, lapel pin and special wristband. (Optionally add a 22 Too Many Tech Shirt for $15 more)
No packet pickup is necessary! Check is from 5:30 - 6:45 am on race day. The race is scheduled to start at 7:00 am, so please arrive early! The race is chip timed with age group awards in 15 categories and includes a free raffle drawing. Water, Gatorade and popsicles will be provided.
The course is located at AZ Falls, 5802 E. Indian School Rd, Phoenix, AZ 85018 with overflow parking located at the Lutheran church, just North of the park off 56th Street.
Virtual Challenge: If you can't make our 5k in Arizona, you still may choose a challenge and honor our 22 Too Many. Run, walk, hike, bike, or participate in an event of your choosing. You select the distance, the location, and the time. Carry a picture of our 22 Too Many and earn a race medal, a lapel pin, and wristband. Pictures are available to download on our website 22toomany.org under "Heroes." Please send us a picture of you with your hero.
