There is usually plenty of shade, however, bringing a pop-up tent isn’t a bad idea. BYO lunch/snacks/drinks. Don’t forget fuel and your scissor stand or whatever you prefer, the shoreline is rocky.
Please remember MO HWY Patrol runs this lake and is pretty heavy handed, make sure your stickers are current and if you choose to partake in having any alcoholic beverages—-be mindful that there is zero tolerance on the lake.
