About this workshop:
How does the body rest?
Meet Miracle Jones, artist in residence for the month of May at Assemble! Along with leading workshops with our kids and teens, she's planned an evening of collage and creation just for adults!
This 21+ Night is an opportunity for participants to radically imagine the body at rest. Participants will look back at how people have imagined and depicted the body, and then use collage materials and resin to create or replicate their own depictions of a body at rest.
About Miracle Jones:
Miracle is a creative being who works to meet with stakeholders and impacted individuals to develop and implement intersectional solutions to ensure communities are resourced and supported. She also ensures artists are an integral part of the process through the ideation and curation to give space on what liberated communities may look like. She is a queer writer, organizer, and social worker who believes a better world as possible but only if we make it. She uses food, dialogue, and nourishment to heal the community through her dinner hostings and Brunch With A Black Man project.
