On 23 May, the open-air concert hall “Mītava” opens its season together with a grand celebration of the 20th International Sand Sculpture Festival. Enjoy an unforgettable party with the powerful voice of Samanta Tīna, alternative pop band “Kautkaili”, the lively rock group “Pienvedēja Piedzīvojumi”, and energetic hip-hop artist Fiņķis. Throughout the day there will be performances for children, foam parties, creative activities, and other special surprises to mark the anniversary.
A world millions of years old arrives in Jelgava. Internationally acclaimed sculptors will transform Pasta Island into a place where the stories of the Jurassic era come back to life in sand – dinosaurs, ancient sea creatures, and rulers of the skies. Each sculpture will allow visitors to feel the power of an ancient world, the struggle and harmony between life and nature.
