Works of Growth & Recovery happens during First Friday festivities at Mainframe Studios with works exhibited on 1st and 4th floors. Accessibility aspects include American Sign Language welcome video, audio descriptions of artworks, braille programs, and a virtual tour.
About Momentum Arts
Momentum was created by Community Support Advocates as a supportive community for artists who identify as having a disability. It launched in 2004 with an annual juried exhibition “Works of Growth and Recovery.” Since then, it expanded to offer free workshops, access to art supplies and studio space, professional development opportunities, mentorship programs and much more. You can find Momentum Arts in studio #109 at Mainframe Studios and online at momentumartistcollective.org.

is a 501(c)3 nonprofit creating hope together with those impacted by disabilities, mental illness, and traumatic brain injury. We serve Iowa’s most vulnerable individuals, and their families, by providing comprehensive services and coordinated care that support day to day living, community integration, and creative expression. Our culture of welcoming and belonging prioritizes growth and resilience within our community.
