ECDC African Community Center of Denver (ACC) is hosting our 20th Annual Refugee First Thanksgiving community dinner. Join us in welcoming Denver's refugee and immigrant community members by sharing an evening of food, friendship, and dancing.
Hosted at the Z New Summit Conference & Event Center, celebrate the diversity of our community by sharing both traditional Thanksgiving food and globally inspired dishes with neighbors and friends! Whether you're a refugee or a supporter, everyone is welcome to join in the festivities.
Tickets
Refugee/Immigrant - Free
General Admission - $20
Child (12 and under) - $10*
*For general admission ticket holders only. Admission for children accompanying refugee/immigrant ticket holders is free.
Dinner reservations are available at 5:00, 6:00, and 7:00 PM.
Event Volunteers
Event volunteers should NOT reserve a ticket through Eventbrite. Eventbrite tickets are only for individuals attending the event as a guest. If you would like to volunteer at the event, please sign up for a volunteer shift via our SignUpGenius.
Program
A delicious buffet dinner provided by refugee and immigrant chefs working with our catering partner, RBazaar, and our faith-based food partners will be served from 5:00 - 8:30. Throughout the event there will be music, dancing, and children's activities.
To honor our Muslim community members, this event will be alcohol-free and fully halal.
5:00 PM Doors open; event access for 5:00PM ticket holders.
6:00 PM Event access for 6:00PM ticket holders.
7:00 PM Event access for 7:00 PM ticket holders.
8:30 PM Chef tables close, food no longer served.
9:00 PM Event ends.
Parking
Z New Event Center is located in a shopping center. All shopping center parking is free and available to event guests.
