As you go through the registration process, please be cautious that you do not double book yourself. The date and time for each event is in the event title.

The official headquarters of Alabama Coastal BirdFest & Nature Expo is at 5 Rivers Delta Resource Center. The free family-friendly (no registration required) Nature Expo, closing reception and keynote speaker presentation, point of origination for all bus trips, and most all workshops are located here.

BirdFest trips venture along the 200-mile Alabama Coastal Birding Trail throughout Mobile and Baldwin counties and beyond, exploring bird and wildlife hotspots such as Dauphin Island, Fort Morgan, Weeks Bay, the Mobile-Tensaw Delta, Fort Pickens in Pensacola, FL and, back by popular demand, a trip to our neighbors at the Mississippi Sand Hill Crane National Wildlife Refuge.

Workshops are at 5 Rivers Delta Resource Center or as otherwise noted in the schedule.

Trips are filled in the order in which registrations are received. Registrants will pay registration and credit card fees associated with using Eventbrite, and state and local sales tax. You will receive an email confirmation of your registration from Eventbrite. Remember to check your "Spam" folder for this confirmation before calling the South Alabama Land Trust for assistance.

For bus tours, please be at 5 Rivers Delta Resource Center's Delta Hall at least 15 minutes prior to scheduled departure time. Buses will depart at the posted tour time. Be sure to check-in inside Delta Hall at 5 Rivers and to enjoy coffee and breakfast snacks boarding the bus. This year there are 4 total bus tours. The rest of the tours will meet at the location noted in the schedule.

For boat, kayak and bike tours, please arrive at the location noted in the schedule at least 15-20 minutes before the posted tour time. Boats will depart at the posted tour time.

Kayak tours will include kayaks (tandems with limited singles available), paddles, and safety equipment. Bikes will be provided for the Biking Through Nature Tour.

Cancellation and Refund Policy

In the unlikely event that a trip/workshop is cancelled, or cancelled due to circumstances that cause safety concerns, such as weather, registered participants will be notified as soon as possible. You may donate your trip fee to South Alabama Land Trust to support its land conservation work or request a refund via Eventbrite, calling SALT (251-990-5004) or email [email protected].

Should you need to cancel any or all trips/ workshops, a refund will be issued subject to the following:

• A full refund will be issued (minus Eventbrite fee) for cancellations on or before Wednesday, September 6.
• No refunds will be issued after Wednesday, September 6. No refunds will be issued for no-shows.
