JMG Camp:This camp is for kids who don’t mind being a little hot & sweaty (but cooling off under a sprinkler); getting their hands a bit dirty (but washing up for cooking healthy food); and definitely always up for trying something new!
JMG is a youth gardening program where we develop an appreciation of the natural world and cultivate the mind! We aim to provide a love of gardening, learn where our food comes from, and how to grow it! Gardeners will work independently and as a JMG team.
The 2026 Celebrating MI Ag Series will focus on Michigan’s top ag products including at the incredible diversity of agricultural products grown in Michigan and the amazing careers tied to sustainable and regenerative agriculture.
JMG Garden Gurus:
If you really love JMG and want to contribute to our garden makeover...After participating in JMG for at least 1 season and entering 6-8 grades...Apply to be a GARDEN GURU!
Students will be expected to work independently, grow their own gardens, and help with special projects. Both groups meet on the same days and participate in the same outings and cooking. In addition, they develop job and life skills such as responsibility, teamwork, communication, and problem solving. They will have the opportunity to help mentor new JMG members and model good stewardship and teamwork.
Apply by answering a few questions on the registration form about why you want to be a GURU.
