BSR WINTER SOLSTICE RACE - just like a normal mid-winter swim, but with added vert!
8th year!!!!
Time: 6pm
Venue: Start outside Freyberg Pool, Oriental Bay, Wellington.
Route: Run up to the top of Matairangi/Mt Victoria (196m) any route you want then back down to Freyberg Beach. Stopwatch stops after you've fully submerged yourself in the ocean and returned to start outside Freyberg Pool.
Have a hot shower in Freyburg for 2 dollars then come down to prizegiving
Yes this is a serious event with beer prize for top man and women (hopefully if we can convince pub)
