About this Event

Like last year our Cruise will feature on-board commentary from Melanie Barstow (UW class of 2016 and founder of the “Boys in the Boat” tour) providing a fascinating narrative history and legacy of the Seattle waterways.

Topics covered by Melanie will include the creation of the Montlake Cut, the rich indigenous history of the area, the ASUW Shell House (home to the “Boys in the Boat”), a glimpse into the WW1 Naval aviation history and additional facts about the ship canal and Lake Union.

As an added treat this year both Melanie and Dwight will have live interaction with a few of our Cruise guests testing their rowing knowledge.

So, be ready to learn some wonderful northwest history and some rowing trivia prior to watching the races from the boat deck.

Breakfast on the Argosy Goodtime II vessel will include scrambled eggs, bacon, fresh fruit, croissants with jams & jellies and of course a full array of made to order espresso drinks.

For those of you wishing to conveniently park in the E-12 lot next to the Waterfront Activity Center (“WAC”) we will have our parking lot volunteers standing in the parking lot outside the WAC ready to provide you with a complimentary parking pass to leave on your car dashboard.

This parking pass is an “all day” pass. So once you complete the Cruise you’re welcomed to leave your vehicle in the lot and take a short walk to Conibear Shell House for the post race barbecue and presentation of the race awards.

NOTE: please be prompt with your ticket purchases enabling us to better plan for the food quantity.

Please go to the Eventbrite link to purchase your tickets…$85 per person.

Also…Boarding promptly at 8:00 AM.

Total time on the Argosy is 8AM to 11:30AM.

We encourage you to buy tickets early.

Ticket sales end on March 14th.
