About this Event
Saturday, April 18, 2026, is our 15th Annual Chris Rose Walk for Autism. We held our first walk in April of 2011, and the event has continued to grow within the autism community. All funds raised from this event stay within the Centre to promote programs and services for the children, youth and adults we work with.
What does the day look like? The Walk starts at the Chris Rose Therapy Centre for Autism, with registration starting at 10:00 AM, and we’ll begin warming up at 11:00 AM for the Walk. All participants will proceed to McArthur Island, then return to the Centre where the North Kamloops Lions Club will have hamburgers and hot dogs available for purchase for a small fee, which they donate back to the Centre.
The Walk will take about an hour to complete (it all depends on how far you want to go, and how fast you are!). Registration is by donation, but there is a minimum $10 donation to receive a T-shirt.
If you would like to help us promote the Walk, we will have posters and pledge forms available at the Centre (you can also e-mail us for them as well, or message us on Facebook). Pledge forms are available.
We encourage you to dress as awesome as you would like. This is an all-inclusive event which is open to everyone.
