HARTINGTON, NEBRASKA — The 38th Annual Tour de Nebraska will take place June 23–28, 2026, answering the call from its loyal cycling community to explore new and scenic routes across Nebraska, South Dakota, and Iowa—all experienced from the seat of a bicycle.
This premium bicycle tour follows a loop route beginning and ending in Hartington, Nebraska. More than 250 riders will travel approximately 50 miles per day, with overnight stays in Hartington, Nebraska, Vermillion, South Dakota, and Crofton, Nebraska, which replaces Yankton, South Dakota. Crofton is only 14 miles away and complimentary shuttles will be available for riders staying in Yankton accommodations. This unexpected route change in part helps satisfy some of the rider feedback that further promotes the Nebraska brand.
Tour de Nebraska draws participants from more than 25 states, including strong representation from Nebraska, South Dakota, and Iowa. This part of Nebraska offers some of the most picturesque stretches of the Missouri River, paired with rolling terrain that extends across all three states. Carefully planned rest stops, located approximately every 12 miles in surrounding communities, will showcase the very best of small-town hospitality throughout the region.
The “double-double” format enhances the economic impact for local communities, as riders have more opportunity to experience local businesses and attractions or to simply relax.
